Diplomas/Student projects

The work Brace grasped at the threads coming loose from the fabric of concise interpretation of the self as the result of an upbringing, and a formal education as an artist. The components of the piece – an essay in an experimental format, and the room installation echoing the format of the text and vice versa –  built up a reflection on art education and the crevices of the psyche from a microcosm of  heavily intertwined aspects of my own life, past and present. The starting point for the work was a dream, a valve for the overwhelmed mind that allowed me draw the connection between my body, mental health, and artistic output, as well as structure the various subjects of the artwork according to the several possible dream interpretations.
