Bazaar’che is an international art project bringing together students and educators from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, the École des Beaux-Arts de Paris, the University of Applied Arts Vienna, and the Faculty of Arts at the Technical University of Košice. Developed as part of the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) and hosted by the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (Intermedia 2), the project creates a space for collaboration, the exchange of experiences, and collective artistic practice across geographical, cultural, and artistic contexts.
Following several months of international collaboration, the project culminates in an exhibition at the Galerie AVU in Prague. For the duration of the exhibition, the gallery becomes a small marketplace of artistic approaches—a place where remote connections turn into physical encounters. The title Bazaar’che derives from the Persian word bāzārče, meaning “small bazaar” or “small marketplace.” Within the context of the project, it refers to a temporary space of encounter and exchange where not only objects circulate, but also ideas, experiences, working methods, images, and different perspectives. The bazaar serves as a metaphor for a situation in which everyone brings something of their own while remaining open to what others have to offer. Exchange thus becomes more than the movement of things; it becomes a process of mutual influence, negotiation, and transformation.
The following students from the Department of Site-Specific Art at the University of Applied Arts Vienna participated in the project: Momoka Araki, Iliya Hosseini, Pascal Kapitza, Paula Kiermaier, Anna Marie Lutz, Chiara Mizaikoff, Yevheniia Pavlova, Sekrit Unzog, Lin Wolf and Valentin Wastaken.
The group was supervised by Katrin Hornek.
