Claudia Slanar ist Kuratorin und Kunsthistorikerin und leitet das Blickle Kino im 21er Haus. Sie war 2003 Mitherausgeberin der ersten Monografie zu James Benning. Sie zeigt den Film “El Valley Centro”, anschliessend Diskussion.

Curator und art historian Claudia Slanar is head of the Blickle Kino at 21er Haus, Vienna. In 2003 she co-edited the first monography on James Benning. We will screen and discuss the film “El Valley Centro”

Chronologie eines Denkmals

1984: Seit damals existiert ein Gedenkstein im Donaupark – beim ehemaligen Militärschießplatz.
Oktober 1998: Die Arge Wehrdienstverweigerung u. a. errichten ein temporäres Deserteursdenkmal am Wiener Maria-Theresien-Platz.
1998/99: Studierende an der Uni Wien greifen das Thema auf.
