Workshopology is a collective, hands-on artistic medium where knowledge emerges through experimentation, care, and shared world-making. This course explores how participatory practices foster ecological relation-making in response to the alienation and uncertainty of our times. Students will develop and participate in workshopologies together.

A combined practical seminar

This seminar invites participants to explore how bodies, images, and material spatiality interact to reshape our perception of presence, movement, and site. In the group and individually, the work focusses on embodied artistic experimentation combining physical gesture, visual transformation, and architecture, using the Department of Site-Specific Art’s new Kit for Interactive Performance (KIP).

In Kooperation mit Michaela Martinek (DAE/DEX) werden drei Techniken des Ofengeformten Glas Verfahrens ausprobiert und einfache Bearbeitungstechniken des Materials erlernt, um skulpturale Objekte in Glas umzusetzen. Ziel ist es, die Hürde, mit Glas zu arbeiten, zu senken und zu experimentieren.

In this practical seminar, students work on the conception and realization of an artistic concept in the field of digital art. Tailored to the needs of these projects, we will gather basic media-specific knowledge and discuss various artistic approaches and reference works.

Das Ziel der Lehrveranstaltung ist ein kollektives künstlerisch-forschendes Nachdenken darüber, wie im 21. Jahrhundert der Widerstand gegen den Nationalsozialismus (allgemein und im Speziellen von Frauen) im öffentlichen Raum oder in Museen ausgestellt werden kann. Eines der geplanten Ergebnisse der LV ist ein (imaginärer) kollektiver Entwurf für einen Widerstands-Denkmalpark in Klagenfurt/Celovec.
